Sberbank says approves about 6,300 company restructuring requests

MOSCOW, Apr 9 (PRIME) -- Russia's biggest lender Sberbank has received 26,000 applications for loan restructuring from companies and satisfied about 6,300 claims, Deputy CEO Anatoly Popov told reporters on Thursday.

"About 26,000 clients, companies, have applied in the framework of Sberbank's restructuring program. Small and microbusinesses clients amounted to more than 25,000 applicants with over 30,000 loans. We have made more than 6,000 positive decisions on them," Popov said.

The official also said that about 500 medium-sized business companies applied for restructuring of 900 agreements, and positive decisions were made on more than 300.

Sberbank's restructuring program covers credits to the transport, hotel and retail real estate, services, construction materials, wholesale and retail of selective demand goods, education, sports, cultural and art companies.
